Pointing fingers of who is right and who is wrong during this election year has reminded me of a great quote by Carl Jung: “We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Is it like the chicken and the egg, which one comes first? It is well documented that stress is the major cause of illness today, but can it have an impact on pain? Stress causes shallow breathing and tight tension in muscles along with much much more, this can lead to lack of oxygen and blood flow going to all the cells and YES, this can lead to pain. When you are in pain, we do not function as well in any area of our life and YES, this adds to stress. There are not enough hours in the day to talk about all the negative side effects that come from STRESS!!! Stress really is a natural part of life, so it is helpful to learn how to manage stress! Everyone processes stress differently and there are many things we can do to help reduce the negative impact and manage how we feel from stressful situations. How does attitude fit in? Attitude is number one in managing stress. Some people allow major situations just to flow on by, while others think the world is coming to an end. Everyone and every situation is different, so there is really no way to predict how one should act. A good way to handle many situations,(person, thing, result, etc.) in general is to ask, “Am I going to allow this situation to handle me or am I going to handle it?” The attitude of, “I am going to handle it,” is an attitude of action, faith and control! Or, we forget about what we desire because we are distracted by other life affairs? Keep those dreams and desires alive! Life goes on, yes! That is good! Nurturing our desires is necessary for our true happiness and ability to be a good steward of the life we were blessed with. When we are tuning in with our highest self, we are better in every area of our life. I understand how we get distracted…believe me I do! It is so helpful and important to pay attention throughout the day on what we desire to be. Have your, “FIVE” so programmed in to your consciousness and be aware when you find yourself thinking about what you do not want…or just having idle thoughts that are not important to you…focus on one of your “FIVE.” FIVE is a list of the top 5 things you would like to have, be or do! Thinking about one of those and putting energy into the idea will bring it closer to manifestation and along the way it is fun to dream and be creative. Is it our thoughts, words and attitude that makes our world what it appears? Our attitude is made up of beliefs, feelings, and emotions. These are produced from our thoughts,words and environment. Who influences what we think? Who decides if we think it is acceptable, good or bad? It really causes me to think about this when I hear and read Shakespeare’s quote, “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”
It amazes me when I visit with people about “life” that many do not have much good to report about their personal life or our world. All of us have those “irritating” people/areas that we deal with! The first place we can begin making changes to better things is with us! What are your goals? What do you want to do or have? It may surprise you that the majority do not have a clue, or a goal! Many go to the 8-5 job…hating every minute of it and then go home and have a non productive routine…Next day, it all begins again. Take some time to think about your life, your contribution to this world and the life of others. InJoy!
A consistent observation I have noticed when someone calls to have a mastermind session or two with me is that they just do not know or have a clear picture of what it is they want! This is the first step! Or they may think they know what they want, however what they want changes every month or two! That is not strong enough to attract the focus, discipline and actions required to manifest and make changes if what you think you want changes every few weeks or so. Spend time to really get to know what you desire. It is helpful to set a timeframe that you will observe and journal your thoughts, dreams and habits for 3 to 6 months. Usually if you spend that much time observing and recording your thoughts and experiences, chances are you will begin seeing a pattern. Once you see a pattern, you can begin to observe similarities or themes and uncover what it is you want!!! Very important first step to becoming happier…know what you want! I offer a service called mastermind sessions which usually take no more than one or two times if we are dealing with the usual “just stuck and not content” challenge. I have found that the mastermind sessions work very well and I prefer these to the coaching programs I offered previously. Why a mastermind session you may ask??? Some people just do not feel like being counseled, coached or preached to!!! This mastermind program is fun, effective and non-intrusive!
Who has control over your thoughts? YOU DO! We have 100% control over what we think…that is something no one can take from us. EXCEPT, when we allow outside influence to take over what we think about. This is why…(and I have personally learned the hard way,) to make sure anyone or anything that has any influence in and around what we think about is for our highest and best. If you have not figured out what is really important to you and how you want to live your life from this moment forward…I would like to suggest you spend some quiet time and start a heartfelt list! Our thoughts are a very powerful force…I know I have said this many time before. I have learned many life lessons and this is one that tops the list. I just want to remind you, and by reminding you, I remind myself… Thoughts have power and create. Every word you speak is shadowing a thought, be mindful of all influence over your thoughts, be mindful of every word.

Okay, do you feel like you just do not have time to go through all the emails you receive each day? I know I do not have the time…well I may have the time, however I choose to do something more interesting, fun and productive. I love the emails I get that are actually from someone about what they are doing, what is new in their life, etc. I appreciate the emails that are helpful for me personally or for my business. I love staying in touch on fb and having those little inspirational messages on twitter. However, all the apps and games, Farmville, Castleville, bling, ding, Appleville, WHATeverVille…..no can do!!! I am very interested in people, and love hearing from friends, friends of friends, family, etc… I do look forward to hearing about what is going on and what is important to you and yours. I enjoy staying educated on what is good in all areas of well-being. There is so much information to learn that helps me be a better health advocate and overall wellness guide. So…this is my plan. I am in the process of unsubscribing to many lists, this will give me some extra time to do what I feel is important. So now that spring is here…I am spring cleaning and purging all the unnecessary stuff that comes to me via emails and social media. Purging all except what is really helpful and adding value.
